About Us
Championing New Voices in Romance
Audio in Color is a federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to expanding who gets heard in romance storytelling.
We fund debut audiobooks. The Audio in Color grant supports underrepresented authors writing in the romance genre seeking to produce their first self-published audiobook.
We help bring stories to life. Our goal is to remove financial and logistical roadblocks, and to make it easier for these authors to create audiobook productions.
We invest in independent storytellers. Our grant serves indie-published authors looking to produce high-quality audiobooks, build sustainable careers, and connect with new audiences around the world.
We support narrators and producers. Our community of industry experts reflects the richness of the stories being told.
Each project we support is more than a book. It’s access for broader readershp. Our grant program is designed to empower authors to turn their first audiobook into a launchpad for future creative and financial growth.
We believe in storytellers.
We believe in sound.
We believe in creating space for new voices to be heard.

Amy Oliveira loves writing heart-wrenching slow burns with strong Latina leads and the quiet brooding men who can’t help but fall for them. A hopeless romantic, Amy married the same man three times in three dresses and two different countries. If anything, that should be enough credentials to write romance.
