We understand that producing an audiobook can feel overwhelming—financially, technically, and logistically. That’s why we created Audio in Color: to offer guidance, funding, and production support so more authors can bring their stories to life in audiobooks.
The Audio in Color grant awards funding to cover full production costs to romance authors ready to create their first indie-published audiobook.
Our mission is to break down barriers in audiobook publishing and make the process less intimidating for first-time indie authors. Whether you’re navigating the space solo or unsure where to start, we’re here to help.
The grant currently operates on a 2-year cycle. Year one for open nominations, panel review and grantee selection. Year two is spent guiding grant recipients through the audiobook production process- manuscript prep, casting, review, distribution and release promotion.
